Christopher Goss, 41, passed away in his home on 9/26/2017 in Benton, Arkansas. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother.

Born in North Little Rock, Arkansas, he was the son of Julie McMoran and the late Philip Goss and was the stepson of the late Ralph McMoran. He attended North Little Rock High School and graduated in 1994. He continued his studies and graduated from Central Texas College with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice.

Chris was employed at the Arkansas Childrens Hospital and worked as a Security Officer. He had an extensive history in law enforcement as a patrolman for Benton Police Department, UAMS Police Department and Fordyce Police Department. He also volunteered as a Police Reserve Officer of Haskell Police Department. In 2016, he served as the Chief of Police of Bradley, Arkansas.

Chris was a Staff Sergeant assigned to the Texas National Guard, 31B130, Military Police. Prior to his National Guard duties, he was on active duty in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Cuba and Iraq. Chris served in the military for 22 years.

Chris was awarded the Bronze Star for valor.

Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, loved golf and football, and riding his motorcycle. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for his family and friends and for protecting and serving our community and our country.

Chris is survived by his wife, Christina, his daughter, Hayden, that he shared with Regina Rogers, stepdaughters, Dasia Page and Trinity Scott, mother, Julie, and siblings, Karamie McMoran, Philip Goss and Raymond Goss.

The visitation will be held on October 8, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Smith- North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., North Little Rock, Arkansas.

The funeral service will be held on October 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Smith- North Little Rock Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans State Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland, Sherwood, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, we ask contributions to be given to his daughter, Hayden.
