Christine Welch

Christine E. Welch, 76, of Beebe died March 2, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Cooper W. and Thresea E. Polk. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, deeply loved by all her family and will be greatly missed.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Welch; two sisters, Lorene Berry and Blanche Rainey; and one brother, Charles Polk. She is survived by two sons, Jim Metz and Chuck Metz (Karen); three daughters, Carol, Cathy, and Jamie; one grandson, Chuckie Metz; two granddaughters, Amanda Hill and Brandy Metz; one great-granddaughter, Kristina Carson; two sisters, Margaret Fromby of Houston, Texas, and Lucille Smothers of Illinois; two brothers, Bud Polk (Helen) and Gene Polk (Lavetta) of Hickory Plains;; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Westbrook Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6 at Westbrook Funeral Home.
