Christine Groce
Christine Groce, 96 of Little Rock, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Arkansas Hospice Center. She was born on January 20, 1912 in Warren, Arkansas; she was the daughter of B.L. and Mai Smith Beasley.
Christine was a retired bookkeeper, who received a degree from the Arkansas Teachers College. She was a long time member of the Brockington Road Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, June and Bob Starkey of Little Rock, a son and daughter in law, Paul and Kay Groce of Little Rock; a sister Maxine Beasley of Little Rock; three grandchildren Eric Starkey of Little Rock, Benjamin Groce, currently serving our country in Afghanistan, and Jacqueline Groce of Little Rock; a granddaughter in law Jackie Lance; two great grandchildren Sean and Dean Starkey, and a niece Nancy Barber of North Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson Michael Starkey.
Services will be at noon, Monday, December 22, 2008 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas. Burial will follow at the Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood.
