Chris Palmer, age 21, of Amity, died Sunday, September 11, 2011. He was born on May 6, 1990 at Hot Springs, the son of Clyde Clinton Palmer and Laura Ann Deputy Palmer. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clyde Palmer. Chris was a member of the Pilgrim's Rest Missionary Baptist Church and a 2008 graduate of Kirby High School. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and riding four wheelers. He also enjoyed playing basketball with his brother and being with friends and family. Survivors include his parents, Clint and Angie Palmer of Amity and Laura and Darrel Rinkle of Kirby; three brothers, Joey Palmer of Clinton, Oklahoma, Justin Bolle of Little Rock and Lane Rinkle of Kirby; one sister, Shannon Wyatt of Little Rock; his paternal grandmother, Verna Palmer of Glenwood; his maternal grandmother, Wilma Deputy of Kirby; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Graig Cowart and Bro. Jack Herring officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Cody Gonzales, Timothy Burton, Andrew Barrett, Blake Cowart, Marty Reynolds, Hunter McGough, Sean Deputy and Mark Deputy. Honorary pallbearers will be the Kirby High School Class of 2008. Memorials may be made to the Pilgrim's Rest Missionary Baptist Church Youth Fund, 5 Frazier Cowart Road, Glenwood, Arkansas, 71943.
