Chris Jumper

Chris Newkirk Jumper, 66, died June 7, 2018. Born Sept. 19, 1951 in Atlanta, Texas, she was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mildred Newkirk, sisters Glenna Newkirk and Nancy (Ray) Terry. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of over 45 years, Dennis, children Randy (Heidi) Jumper; Greg (Cheryl) Jumper; Lori Jumper; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Chris was a fun loving woman of faith who blessed many with her kindness, care and humor. She loved her family deeply and her greatest joys were spent loving and caring for them. She was there for them when the times were the hardest and when they needed her most.

They will remember her smile, her chicken dressing and godly influence. Chris' love for children was seen in her time as a school teacher and the over 40 years of children's ministry in every church she attended. Whether through teaching students math equations or bible verses, she inspired generations of children and students.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorials be made to Chris Jumper Scholarship Fund at Trinity Assembly of God for children to go to church camp. This honors her wish to see more children experience Jesus. Online donations can be made at www.tagchurch.generush.org .

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 10th from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, and a memorial service Monday, June 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God, 11120 Cantrell Rd. Little Rock, AR 72116.
