Charlotte Wilkerson

Charlotte Anne Wilkerson, 69, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She was born February 1, 1947 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Charles and Lucille Lewallen. She was a member of the Bryant High School Class of 1964. She received her certification in cosmetology from Clayton's School of Hair Design the same year. She enjoyed styling hair at the Hair Palace and Andover salons. Her co-workers and clients became a part of her family. Charlotte had a servant's heart with a tender place for the elderly. She was an organist and active member of Cherrywood Baptist Church for nearly 40 years. She enjoyed playing solitaire, talking on the phone, watching old movies, shopping for a bargain, and caring for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Sammy Wilkerson; sons, Samuel "Bo" Wilkerson, Jr. (Donna) of North Little Rock and Jeff Wilkerson (Michelle) of East End; three grandchildren, Brittney Renfro (Phillip), Breanna Pelkey and Tanner Wilkerson; four great-grandchildren, Rory, Randi and Ryann Renfro and Landen Pelkey; parents, Charles and Lucille Lewallen; brothers, Jackie Lewallen (Kathy) and Terry Lewallen (Bitsy) and sister, Peggy Hampton (Jim), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 10411 W. Markham, Suite 100, Little Rock, AR 72205.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
