Charlotte C. Reed, 80, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2009, at home surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. She was born February 25, 1929 to Ernest and Opal Camp. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She had also served as a member of the Chi Sigma Sorority. Charlotte was employed as a legal secretary at Wright Lindsey & Jennings Law Firm for thirteen years, followed by twenty-one years at Lester and Shults which became Shults, Ray and Kurrus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ernestine Church; nephew, Bill Church and granddaughter, Leslie Marie Anderson. Those family members left to cherish her memory are her son, Milton B. "Mike" Reed; daughters, Gail Reed Anderson (Dwight "Roho") and Lisa Reed Adams; grandchildren, Evan Adams, Erin Adams, Summer Green and Brittney M. Reed; great-granddaughter, Tayler Britt Green; and her special namesake niece, Charlotte Fontenot (Joel).
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Paul Zelnick, Dr. Kimberly Curseen and Baptist Hospice for their loving care of Charlotte and her family.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 28 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 8th and Cumberland, officiated by James Thomason, followed by burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Pallbearers will be Evan Adams, Lynn Duncan, Baker Kurrus, Judge J. Thomas Ray, Steve Shults, Danny Anderson and Scott McCorkle. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Shults.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Candlelighters of Central Arkansas, Leslie Marie Anderson Memorial Scholarship, P. O. Box 3854, Little Rock, AR 72203.
