Charlotte K. Ray

Charlotte K. Ray, age 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully May 7, 2024, due to complications from COPD and kidney disease. 

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family very much.  She had a great spirit and good nature.  She will be missed.

Charlotte was born July 24, 1941, in Roswell, New Mexico.  Her parents were Aubrey Parnell and Elizabeth Bludworth. She had two brothers, Gary, and Jackie Parnell.   They lived mostly in Andrews, TX.  

Charlotte married Bobby Lee Ray on December 24, 1957, at age16. She was widowed-on May 7, 2022.   Charlotte and Bobby had three children, Leigh Ann Ray, Christopher Ray, and Mark William Ray.

Charlotte is survived by her son and daughter in law Christopher and Renee Ray of Benton, Brother Gary Parnell of Houston Texas and grandchildren David Ray, Justin Ray, and Amanda Ray Cox all of Benton, Arkansas, and Ashley O’Besso of Anchorage, AK.  She is also survived by six great grandchildren. They are Piper Ray, Grady Ray, Henry Ray, Lucy Ray, Walter Ray, and Charlotte Cox, all of Benton, Arkansas.  

She will have grave side services and burial Monday May 13, 2024, 11:00 AM at Rockport Cemetery in Malvern, AR.  Services will be provided by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Benton.  Online guestbook:  www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
