Charlotte Hendren

Little Rock

 

Charlotte Knox Hendren, 102, was born August 18,1919 and died April, 14, 2022.  Charlotte was born in Hot Springs, AR to JR and Florence Knox.  She was a lifelong resident until moving to Little Rock seven years ago for health reasons. 

 

Charlotte graduated from Texas State College for Women (Texas Woman's University); earned a Masters from LSU.  

She was a lifetime Methodist, and was the oldest member of 1st UMC, Hot Springs.  As a member of Pullman UMC, she served as secretary, treasurer, and board member. Charlotte was active in all her children's activities: PTA, Band Parents, Scout Den Mother, and Home Room Mother.  

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; and siblings, Jack and Florence.

 

Survivors include her children, James Hendren (Carol), Frances Hendren Starnes, and Charles Hendren (Pam), 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  

 

Memorials can be sent to Methodist Family Health, 1600 Aldersgate Rd, Little Rock, AR 72205 or The Caring Place, 101 Quapaw Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901. 

 

Visitation will be held Monday, July 18, from 10:00-11:00 AM , with Memorial service following at 11:00 AM, at Trapnall Hall, 423 E. Capitol, Little Rock, Arkansas.
