Charlotte Diane Crabtree, age 63, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 25, 2023, at her home in Murfreesboro.
She was born on November 14, 1959, in Murfreesboro, the daughter of Orbie Porter and Ruby Evalou Barrett Porter. She was preceded in death by her father; her grandson, Keith Allen Tigue; her sister, Ruby Porter; and her niece, Lisa Denae Porter.
Charlotte was a dedicated and hardworking individual who devoted 26 years of her life to working at the Tyson plant. Her commitment and loyalty to her job were admired by all. On July 9, 1997, Charlotte married the love of her life, Robert Lee Crabtree. Charlotte cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and took great joy in spoiling them whenever she had the chance. She loved to crochet and paint. Charlotte loved growing all roses but she was partial to her yellow roses. Everyone who knew Charlotte knew how much she loved her dogs. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by the love of her life for 26 years, Robert Crabtree of Murfreesboro; her mother, Ruby Porter of Glenwood; her four daughters and son-in-law, Lois Marie and Jimmy Dove of Glenwood, Diane Bentley of Murfreesboro, Judy Collins of Murfreesboro, and Jessica Crabtree of Arizona; her two sons, Randall Provence of Murfreesboro and Donnie Wayne Huffman, Jr. of Roseboro; her sixteen grandchildren, Alex, Wade, Ashley, Frederick, Zoe, Henry, Jazmine, Kimberly, Adrianna, Curley, John, Joshua, Trent, Donovan, Sheri, and Dalana; her fourteen great-grandchildren; her two brothers and their wives, Carlton and Tina Porter of California, and Larry and Lisa Porter of Kirby; her five nephews, Michael, Carlton Jr., Clyde, Kevin, and Eli; her two nieces, Jewel Anne and Jessica; and many cousins, extended family members, and loving friends.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Wootten, Donnie Wooten, Dwayne Spears, Jacob Thompson, Grey Davis, and Eric Bennett.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Porter, John Wootten, Joshua Wootten, Fredrick Provence, Carlton Porter, Boyd Cox, and Floyd Cox.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 1, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Boots Donaldson officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in the funeral home chapel at 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, Arkansas 71943.
Interment will be in the Woodall Valley Cemetery.
