Charlie Edward (Eddie) Hasley age 61 of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Little Rock. He was born March 18, 1949 in Arkadelphia the son of Dillard and Mary Dale Glover Hasley. He was a member of Third Street Baptist Church. Eddie was retired from Reynolds Metals / Alcoa. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and North America Hunting Club. He served in the Army National Guard for 6 years, was president of the local Steel Workers Union #5073 at the time of his retirement. Eddie was a wonderful husband and father, known as Papa to his grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Huie Hasley and William B. Hasley.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Joyce Jackson Hasley; two daughters Melody (Stan) Rogers, Jodie (Brandon) Myers, one son Brad (Dora) Hasley, all of Arkadelphia; six grandchildren, Cody, Lisa, Kalyn, Hunter, Chayce, and Blake; five step grandchildren, Jace, Austin, Dakota, William, and Jameson, one sister, Diane Burson, two brothers, Wayne and Rickey Hasley all of Arkadelphia.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, February 4th at Third Street Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Latham and Rev. James Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in the Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Coy, Jordan, Kevin, Jeff, Dillard, and Mike Hasley, Danny Burson, and Jett and Jace Burnett.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
