Wes Smothers, 53, of Benton, Arkansas passed away August 4, 2015. He was born May 13, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Charles and Alyce Golding Smothers.
Wes was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a flight attendant. He enjoyed traveling and snow skiing with his children and marveled at God's beautiful creation of mountains, rivers, and lakes.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Charles and Alyce Golding Smothers; children, Sophie B. Smothers and Claire C. Smothers; sister, Julia Ann Hawkins; mother of his children, Debra D. Smothers; aunt, Gloria Phillips; uncle, Bill Golding and wife Ann; niece, Kacey Hawkins; nephew, Spencer Hawkins; as well as many other relatives and friends who loved Wes and will miss him always.
Funeral service, officiated by Frances Raley, will be held Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, AR 72015. Reception visitation will follow.
The family has requested memorials to be made to Saline County Habitat for Humanity, 404 W Walnut St, Benton, AR 72015 in lieu of flowers.
