Charles Tew

Charles Edward Tew, Sr., 77, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born August 4, 1941 in Linn, Mississippi.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Tew; daughters, Charlene (Tommy) Rice and Chassity Tew (Lindell Southerland); son, Charles Alan Tew; sister, Shirley (Larry) Dariseck; grandchildren, Cody, Hayley, Dylan, Brittani, and Allison; and great-grandchildren, Gracie and April. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Doris Tew; one brother; and his son, Charles Edward Tew, Jr.

He served honorably in the Navy for eight years. He was also a retired law enforcement officer. Charles was a member of the VFW Post #10442. He received many honors and awards while serving as Quartermaster and Commander. Charles was a big fan of the Razorbacks.

A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery in Conway.
