Charles Spradlin

Charles Dean Spradlin, age 74, of Beebe, Arkansas died October 23, 2014. He was born January 19, 1940 at Pearcy, Arkansas to George Spradlin and Vera (Permenter) Spradlin. He was retired from industrial maintenance and continued working full time as a farmer until his death. He married Anna Belle Liles June 20, 1957.

Charles was predeceased by his parents; brothers James and Dennis Spradlin; sisters Wilma (A.C.) House and Arcie (Carlos) Sumler; sister-in-law Lorene Spradlin; and a grandson, Matthew Spradlin.

In addition to his wife Anna, he is survived by brothers Jessie Spradlin of Waukegan, Illinois and Junior (Midge) Spradlin of Grays Lake, Illinois; sister Marie Crisco of Beebe; and sister-in-law Ann Spradlin of Beebe. He is survived by four children, David (Tonia) Spradlin of Beebe, Sarah (Gene) Manning of North Little Rock, Charlene (Ronny) Chambers of Beebe, and Kathy (Mike) Modlin of Beebe; six grandchildren, Laura (Mike) Bedwell of Vilonia, Natalie (Kraig) Magby of Beebe, Debra (Rico) Garcia of Wichita, Kansas, Rebecca (Daniel) Cockrum of Blacksburg, Virginia, Gabriel (Lacy) Chambers of Ward, Stephanie (Justin) Crowder of Beebe; eight great-grandchildren; and his faithful companion, Morkie.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 27, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., with burial at Stoney Point Cemetery.
