Charles Shirley, 66, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. He was born December 19, 1949 in Helena, Arkansas to Carl and Mary Stevens Shirley.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Taylor Shirley; two children, Christy Mosely (Bo) and Michael Shirley; four grandchildren, Haley West, Nolan West, Gavin Mosely and Luke Mosely; and brother, Jim Shirley (Barbara), niece Elizabeth and nephew Matthew Shirley; brother in law Tim Taylor(Becky) niece Leslie and nephews Stephen and Seth Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Danny Joe Shirley.
Charles received his bachelors in 1973 from State College of Arkansas(UCA) where he was a member of the track team. He worked as a restaurant manager for 34 years for Western Sizzlin, Pizza Hut and Tia's Tex-Mex. Charles loved spending time with and watching his children and grandchildren bowling.
Thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Arkansas Heart Hospital, especially the strong Hearts Congestive Heart Failure Clinic. Also a big thank you to the staff at Hospice Home Care in-patient facility for all of the love and care that was provided.
