Charles Wayne Scott

Charles Wayne Scott age 90 left this world bound for his heavenly home on August 20, 2022. He was born on December 9, 1931 in Bee Branch, AR to the late DM Scott and Mogola Scott.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Virginia Staton; and his first wife, Betty Jo Swann Scott.

Charles is survived by his wife Ramona Scott; daughters, Beverly Phillips (Ron) and Becky Scott (David Squires); his only grandchild, Brianna Lynn Trower (Scott); and three great-grandchildren, Alexandra Trawick, Rainlyn Trawick and Jack Trower.

Charles was in the Air Force during the Korean War, stationed at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico.

He began plumbing after leaving the Air Force and started a successful plumbing business. He was always a good provider for his family.

He loved the Lord and one of his greatest joys was singing the old hymns and southern gospel.

He never met a stranger and loved people. Over the years he made many friends, enjoyed traveling in his motor coach, joined camping clubs, and traveled helping build churches with the Nail Benders.

He loved playing games, especially dominoes. Dementia took him on a slow decline but he could still play dominoes and win most of the time until his last few months.

The family would like to thank Melissa and Clint Martindale for all of their help these last three years and also thank the wonderful staff at Stonebridge Assisted Living for making this decline less painful. All of you were a God-send and we love each of you.

Viewing will be from 12:30pm to 5pm Tuesday, August 23, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Edgewood Memorial Park, North Little Rock.
