The extended Smith family are fondly remembering Charles Samuel Smith (Sam) who completed his earthly journey on June 24, 2022. Sam was born on December 14, 1964 in Birmingham, Alabama to Charles Ronald Smith and Sammy Nell Sanford.
He adored his little sister, Rhonda and his little brother, Michael Smith. He loved arcade games and shooting pool in his youth and as an adult. Building on his arcade digital hobby growing up, he built a career in the computer field and was a pioneer in the cloud computing revolution.
In the autumn of his life he met and married his soulmate, Evelyn Marshall and they remained inseparable. He was loved by all who knew him, he was easy to talk to and even easier to love. Sam will be remembered by Evelyn as a loving husband. Sam is also survived by his children, Michael, Amber and Samantha. A private family celebration of Samâs life will be held at a later date.
