Charles Preston Ross, Sr., 75, of Little Rock passed away Monday, October 24, 2011. He was born August 9, 1936 in Carlisle, Arkansas to the late Carl Alexander and Tressie Mae Hill Ross. He was a member of the Colonial Missionary Baptist Church in Conway and a veteran of the United States Army. Charles was a retired long haul truck driver who enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Frances Mullings Ross; daughter, Anna Halbrook and husband Les of Morrilton; son, Charles P. Ross, Jr. "Pod" and wife Ronda of Little Rock; grandchildren, Kyle Halbrook and Natalie Halbrook of Morrilton and Dawson Ross of Benton; sister, Dorothy Smith of Hot Springs; and canine companion, Gracie. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Carl Ross.
The family will have a visitation Thursday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at their home.
