Charles Edward Rodney, 75 of Little Rock died Sunday, November 28, 2010 at his home. Charles was a retired Corrugator Operator, and a United States Marine who served in the Korean Conflict. He was loved and admired by all of his family and friends.
He is survived by a son, James Rodney; a daughter, Kathy Rodney; brothers, Jim, Harold, and David Rodney; sister, Ruth Riggs; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Rodney; daughter, Rebecca Porter; parents, Hal-Dane and Edna Brown Rodney; brother, Richard Rodney; sisters, Hazel Thompson and Rosemary Saylors.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening 5-7 p.m. at Huson Funeral Home at 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock (one block west of 65th & University).
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Huson Funeral Home with Tim Knight officiating.
Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, casket bearers will be Kenneth Dunlap, Blaine Wilson, Austin Rodney, David Abbot, Roger Dale Thompson, and Greg Riggs.
