Charles Richard Yarbro, 75, of Conway, Arkansas, died May 5, 2024 at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock. He was a 1966 graduate of Blytheville High School and a 1970 graduate of Arkansas State University, where he also pursued post-graduate degrees. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he worked for 28 years in the Gosnell School District, retiring as assistant superintendent. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher, lay speaker, and member of the choir. He was also a member of Gosnell Lions Club, Conway Men's Chorus, and Theodore Campbell Unit of the American Legion, where he served as chaplain for 16 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Peggy Aycock Yarbro and son Bret (with wife Amanda), all of Conway. He is also survived by one sister, Charlene Smith of Wichita Falls, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dolly Yarbro, and two sisters, Patricia Gelinas and Barbara Crowe.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 3 pm at Grace Methodist Church in Conway conducted by Rev. Herschel Richardson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Grace Methodist Church, 1075 Hogan Road, Conway, Arkansas 72034 or a charity of your choice.
