Charles Dee Powell, 81, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010. He was born in Cravens, AR on June 22, 1928 to W.R. "Doc" Powell and Whinnie Blaylock Powell. Charles was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dorris Jean Powell of Maumelle; Son, Alan Dee Powell of Ratcliff; Daughters, Tammy Powell of Ratcliff, Kim Vela of San Antonio, TX, step-daughter, Lee Ann Edmonson of Maumelle, step-son, Steve Fox of Vilonia; grandchildren, Bryan Powell, Sean Will of Ratcliff, Lucy Henson of Norfolk, VA, Lana Edmonson of Maumelle and Chase and Trey Fox of Vilonia; great-grandchild, Mckinlee Henson; sisters, Dorris Jackson and Shirley Halopoff both of California.
Graveside services with Military Honors have been rescheduled for Thursday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR.
Visitation was Monday, January 25, from 6-8:00pm in the Chapel of Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, AR 72205
