Charles P. Sullivan, 94 of the Community of Cato, North Little Rock (Faulkner County), went home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 8, 2010. He was Baptist and a Deacon of Harmony Baptist Church, North Little Rock, and was a Mason at Mt. Sinai Lodge in the Levy area of North Little Rock.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Mary Sullivan, his wife Frances Sanders Sullivan, brothers Roy Sullivan, Ernest Sullivan, Mike Sullivan, Pat Sullivan, Otto Sullivan and Bob Sullivan and sisters Pearl Harrod, Mildred Mosley, Winnifred Giggleman and Rillene Rose, a son Billy Sullivan, a grandson Lee Cauley and a granddaughter Stacey Rae Erickson.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jewell B. Lynch Sullivan, two daughters, Charlene Swaims and Carolyn Moore, a son Randall "Winkers" Sullivan all of the Cato Community, step-sons Lloyd (Shirley) Lynch, Sidney (Eve) Lynch, Ronald (Jenny) Lynch, Daryl Lynch and two step-daughters Judy (Mike) Crowley and Linda (Buddy) Wilcox. He had 24 grand children, 40 great grand children, and one great-great grand child on the way. He will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Sullivan also raised 5 nieces and two other children that came to live with he and his wife.
Mr. Sullivan was retired from his business Sullivan Waterproofing Company. He was well know and loved by his community and still worked his own farm and baled his own hay until a few months ago. Funeral arrangements will be by North Little Rock Funeral Home.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home., 1921 Main, 758-1170. The funeral service will be on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. Harmony Baptist Church, North Little Rock, with the Reverends Normal Powell, Bill Cavanaugh and James Thomasson officiating. Pall Bearers will be his grand-sons Roger Harrell, Randy Cauley, Kevin Sullivan, Kerrie Sullivan, Kelly Sullivan and Donnie Clegg. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Green, Shawn Wilcox, Dan Lynch, Jason Lynch, Adam Lynch and Jesse Lynch. Internment will be at Edgewood Cemetery in the Valley of the Cross.
