Lt. Col. Charles "Jim" Norton (U.S.A.F., Ret.), of Little Rock, passed away January 15, 2012. He was born in Denver, Colorado to Charles B. and Marie Driscoll Norton and retired from Prudential Insurance following his career in the Air Force.
Preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Horne, he is survived by his wife, Mary J. Nix Norton; children, Angela (Jim) Roberts of Lonoke, Mona (Rusty) Stapleton of Enola and Stephanie (David) Gilmore of Ft. Smith; six grandchildren, Rick, Matt and Josh Stapleton, Michael Anderson, Mary Derden and Tracy Coward; and seven great-grandchildren, Haven, Katlyn, Bobby Jr., Devon, Carter, Kadence and Ethan.
Services will be Thursday, January 19 at 10:30 a.m., preceded by visitation and a Rosary service beginning at 10:00, at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
