Charles G. McNeil, 94, of North Little Rock passed away June 26, 2016. He was born in Little Rock on December 19, 1921 to Stephen "Joe" and Albertine Hart McNeil. He graduated from Subiaco Academy, then trained at Coyne Electrical School in Chicago and became a master electrician. Charlie served his country during World War II as a 1st Sergeant in the Army stationed in the Panama Canal. After retirement, Charlie drove his dear friend, Bishop Andrew McDonald, across the state to visit churches, schools and hospitals.
Charlie was preceded in death by his sweetheart of 66 years, Martha. He was the most faithful, patient and adoring husband. He was also preceded by his parents, his brother, Joe McNeil, and two sisters, Mary Louise McNeil and Albertine "Babe" Hoyt, his great-granddaughter, Suzy Katherine Green, and son-in-law, Scooter Finch. Charlie is survived by his daughter, Janet, grandchildren, Eric Finch (Brooke) and Angela Green (Daniel) and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Kendal, Amelia, Bennett and Margo. Charlie's remaining family includes many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Charlie grew up in St. Edward Church, where he and Martha were active members. During his later years he was devoted to Immaculate Conception Church, where he served as an usher, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, a member of Senior Falcons, an honorary member of Altar Society and faithful to Perpetual Adoration. He was a member of IBEW Local 295 for over 60 years. He and Martha also volunteered for many years at St. Vincent's Hospital and assisted in the Pulaski Heights AARP.

Visitation is Thursday 5:00 to 6:30 PM with Rosary following at Smith -North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral mass is on Friday 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
