Charles Cecil McNair, 74, of Benton, Arkansas passed away April 17, 2020. He was born November 11, 1945 in Moro, Arkansas to the late Homer and Jessamine (Shelton) McNair.
Charles proudly served in the United States Army as a decorated marksman. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time fishing. He was often found tinkering with anything he found interesting. Charles walked on this earth with his family and on April 17, walked on the streets of gold in heaven, being reunited with his daughter, parents, and loved ones who were waiting for him.
Preceding Charles in death are his daughter, Charlotte Effird; parents; and ten siblings.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of forty-seven years, Patsy McNair of Benton; daughter, Amanda Shearer and husband Michael of Lonsdale; four grandchildren: Chance Shearer and wife Ashley, Angel Wade and husband Brandon, Taren Chism and fiancé Noah Perry, and Brody Chism; two great-grandchildren: Harper and Waylon; brothers: Tommy McNair and wife Diane of Kansas and Otis "Skip" Traylor of Benton; sister and caregiver, Bonnie Duran of Marianna; and many family members and friends who love Charles and will miss him always.
