Charles Maples
Charles (Dub) W. Maples, 71, of Austin, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord November 12, 2009. He was born March 17, 1938 to Charlie and Ruby Maples at Des Arc, Arkansas.
C. W. is preceded in death by a son, Charles Edward Maples; his father, Charlie Maples; and two brothers, Monroe and Robert Maples.
He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Clara Maples; his mother, Ruby Maples of Lonoke; two daughters, Carla (Jimmy Don) Slayden of England and Anita (David) Hughes of Austin; four grandsons, Chris (Amanda) Keck of Ward, Brandon Keck of Lonoke, Jimmy C. Slayden and Jordon Slayden of England; one great-granddaughter, Emma, of Ward; four brothers, Troy Maples of Bradford, Bill Maples of England, Glendell Maples and Ray Maples, both of Austin; and one sister, Evelyn Lackie of Jacksonville.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
