Charles L. Kies II, 64, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Saturday June 23, 2018. Born September 9, 1953 in Indianola, Mississippi, he was the son of Charles Lewis Kies and Hazel Frye Kies.
Survivors include a sister, Emily Renee James of Conway, Arkansas, and a brother James Lewis Kies of St. Charles, Missouri.
Charles was a 1971 graduate of John L. McClellan High School in Little Rock and a member of the school band. He was a talented musician and played multiple instruments, including the piano. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and older brother.
Charles served in the U.S. Navy from 1971-1975. He was assigned to the U.S.S Nitro, an ammunitions ship, and received the National Defense and Viet-Nam Service medals.
James Walter, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate the graveside service at 11 am Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Hwy 5, Alexander.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 5124 Hillcrest Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
