Charles Walter Letbetter, 89, of North Little Rock passed from this life to be with the Lord on November 18, 2018.
Charles was born on March 28, 1929 to Alma and Herman Letbetter in Marmaduke, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his mother who died when he was 8 months old; father; son, Tommy Letbetter and wife Betty whom he was married to for 68 years. She went to be with the Lord on February 2nd of this year; he has asked the Lord to reunite him with her since that day.
Charles is survived by children, Charlotte Bishop (Darrell) of Sherwood, Tim Letbetter (Laura) of New Jersey; daughter-in-law, Cindy Ussery of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Melissa Rhude (Ron) of North Little Rock, Jeff Norman (Noel) of Florida, Hannah Lacey (Sean) of Massachusetts, Rebecca Letbetter of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Justin Rathke, Mady and Blake Norman and Christopher Lacey.
He was a World War II veteran who joined the Navy when he was sixteen. He was a Master Electrician for North Little Rock Electric, Co., IBEW Local 295. Charles was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood and a Worshipful Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge and Western Star Lodge #2.
The family wants to thank Lakewood Health and Rehab and Elmcroft Assisted Living for their wonderful and loving care and Kindred Hospice for his end of life care.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018 with a visitation prior to service at 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Sherwood. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
