Charles Larry White, age 72, of Kirby, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
He was born on July 23, 1948, in Gum Springs, the son of Charlie Madison White and Besse Marie Duke White. On November 23, 2010, he was married to Rebecca Smith. He was preceded in death by his father.
Larry was a member of Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Arkadelphia High School and attended Henderson State University. Larry was retired from the Arkansas National Guard and also retired as a retail manager. He was a member of O’Neal Hunting Club and enjoyed spending time deer hunting with his friends. Larry also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and his pets. Over the past five years, he enjoyed attending all of the Kirby Trojan basketball games.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca White of Kirby; three sons, Cliff White and Corey White, both of Amity and Aaron Smith (Marion Hartstead) of Kirby; two grandchildren, Hayley White and Emmy Smith; a great-grandson on the way; his mother, Marie White of Arkadelphia; one sister, Cathy Hathcoat of Arkadelphia; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
A private celebration of Larry’s life will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charles White account at Diamond Bank.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
