Charles Knight
Charles William C.W. "Charlie" Knight Sr., was born September 2, 1929 at Bay, AR. Our Heavenly Father called him home November 3, 2009 at his son's home in Hensley, AR. He was a member of Somers Avenue Church of Christ for over 20 years. He proudly served his country in the Korean War from 1951-1954. He was a retired Carpenter & Home Builder.
He is preceded in death by his father Herbert Knight, his mother Dessie Knight, a brother James Knight, two grandsons Derrick and Brian.
Survivors are: his wife of 57 years Emma Nell (Ishmael) Knight of Sherwood; two sons Charles W. Knight Jr. of Truman, AR, Robert H. Knight (Sherwood - Hensley) four brothers Harvall Knight, Rayburn Knight, Ted Knight, and Jack Knight; two sisters Linda Dix and Laura Ann Belew; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a lifelong best friend Delmar Bishop.
Pallbearers are R. B. Mitchell, Bobby Ackers, Lisslie Ruth, Bill Cook, Frank Stienbough, Berry Woods, Ray Johnson, and Jimmy Bishop
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Somers Avenue Church of Christ in North Little Rock. Burial will follow the service at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery on West Marylin in North Little Rock.
