Charles Hutchison died suddenly during cardiac surgery on April 14, 2023 at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ward Hutchison of Colorado, and Inez Pittman Hutchison Laird of Florence, MS. He was born in Jackson, MS, raised as a Methodist to love God and his beautiful world.
He worked as an engineer and scheduler at several manufacturing companies in Arkansas and Florida before retiring in 2019. He married Lisa Hutchison in 1982 and began his greatest adventure, visiting national parks, landmarks, and foreign countries, and living in Tennessee, Florida, and Arkansas. His passion was cars, particularly British cars, muscle cars, and unusual cars. He was an active member of the British Motoring Club of Arkansas and served as its founding President and Marque Leader for several years. He loved driving his Triumphs, Mini, and Morgan through the Arkansas mountains and countryside. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Lisa Comer Hutchison of Little Rock, AR, brother, Jay Hutchison (Charlotte) of Pearl, MS, and a host of aunts, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
In Arkansas his Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Maumelle State Park in Little Rock, AR, a favorite destination for a quick top-down drive and picnic. In Jonesborough, TN, a Celebration of Life will be held in the afternoon on April 23, 2023 at the Jonesborough Presbyterian Church where Charles and Lisa were married. Family will gather at the Pittman Farm in Florence, MS at a later date. The family requests no flowers, and donations may be made to Heifer International (www.heifer.org) or an institution of higher education of your preference.
