Charles Hass

Charles Alvin Hass, of Bryant, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August 23, 2019. He was born on November 25, 1946, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Earl Hass and Margaret Jackson Hass. Charlie was a member of First Baptist Church of Bryant.

Charlie always worked hard to earn his own money. His first jobs included a paperboy for the Arkansas Democrat, a soda clerk at the old Rexall Drug Store on Main Street in Benton and a clerk at Avant's Grocery Store on Hwy. 35 in Benton. After graduating from Benton High School in 1965, he joined the Army National Guard, serving in the 212 Signal Battalion in Benton while also working as a route delivery driver for Capital Pride Meat Packing Company, a car salesman and in insurance sales. Charlie was active duty Army National Guard for 28 years as a recruiter and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. He then worked as an outside salesman for Goodman Air Conditioning and Heating before retiring.

Charlie was preceded in death by his son, Charles Darren Hass; parents; grandparents: Alvin P. and Mattie Smith Hass, and Charles C. and Ella Edwards Jackson; father- and mother-in-law, Ed and Ruth Robertson Coston; and father-in-law, James Francis.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Dianne Francis Hass, of Bryant;
son, Matthew Hass, of Little Rock; daughters: Kimberlee Langley of Bryant and Kelly (Kevin) McGilton of Reydell; sisters: Diana Stockton Moore of Benton; Evalee (Roy) Carman of Haskell, Gail (Michael) White of Hensley; daughter-in-law, Alyson Hass of Benton; granddaughters: Jordan (Alex) Vinson, Allison Hass, Madison Langley and Macy Hass; grandsons: Cruz Oseguera and Bailey Allen; great-grandson, Titan Vinson. Many nieces and nephews, cousins and close long-time friends will also miss Charlie and feel the void his passing leaves in their lives in their earth-bound bodies. Charlie invites everyone to spend eternity with him in Heaven by the One and only Way: by accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
