Charles Albert Hall moved from Mississippi to North Little Rock at the age of 16 and started attending North Little Rock High School. After North Little Rock High Charles got his first job at Sterlings Department store, this is where he first met Mary Alice. After meeting Mary Alice he went to work at Pete’s Shoe Repair where he learned his passion for being a shoe cobbler.
On his 19th birthday he married the love of his life, Mary Alice Evers, before heading out to the Army reserves. After the military he and then became a beloved bus driver. After a few years driving buses he then decided to follow a near path and start at Orbit Valve. While working at Orbit Valve he worked part time at Pete’s Shoe repair continuing to build the skill he loved most, cobblering. After retiring at Orbit Valve he decided to follow his own dreams and opened up his own businesses, Charlie's Shoe Repair, as a master cobbler. After 25 years of following his dream he finally decided to truly retire from all his hard work and sold the shop to friend and fellow cobbler, Keith Martin.
Charles spent his years of retirement enjoying the company of his wife, children, and loving grandchildren. He was never afraid to try new things and was always willing to help those who needed him. He loved The Levy Church of Christ Family and Friends greatly and when able to attend you always count on him for a hug and smile.
