Charles Glenn McCauley, age 81, of Newhope, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019. He was born on October 5, 1937, in Daisy, the son of Delton McCauley and Madie Bell McCauley. On January 20, 1955, he was married to the love of his life, Verma Pinkerton. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Larry Wayne McCauley. He was employed for many years at Weyerhaeuser until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Verma McCauley of Newhope; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rinda and Rick Duggan of Newhope and Barbara and Paul Arivett of Langley; one son, Bobby McCauley of Dierks; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters-in law, Billie Parson and her husband, Gene, of Newhope and Linda McCauley of Daisy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 17, 2019, in the Bissell Chapel Cemetery in Newhope, with Joe Isham officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
