Charles E. Green

Charles E. Green, age 87, of Hot Springs, left this world “going home” on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

He was born on September 10, 1933, in Hot Springs, the son of Edward G. Green and Annie Thornton Green. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Myrtle Green; his parents; two sons, Russell Green and Stephen Green; and one sister, Jo Helen Brandenburg.

Charles was of the Baptist faith. He worked 17 years for Arkansas Rehabilitation Center as a teacher before retiring. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, camping or just rolling down the window in his truck and driving all over the beautiful state of Arkansas.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Gloria Green; five grandchildren, Cindy Green, Stephanie (Samuel) Nelson, Matthew (Kayla) Green, Patrick (Faith) Green and Elizabeth Green; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Macon, Mary Keith and Vernie Sanders; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Don Crossley officiating in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Nelson, Patrick Green, Matthew Green, Danny Dickerson, Josh Pounds and John Morris.

Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Elite Hospice and Dr. Scott Anderson.
