Reverend Charles Floyd Dudley, 87, of Little Rock passed away on February 15, 2015. He was born on June 16, 1927 in Tupelo, Arkansas to Gurvase and Cecil (Williams) Dudley. He was a member of East End Baptist Church, a life time member of the National Rifle Association, he was also a founding member of The Arkansas Duck Hunters Association and a charter member of Ducks Unlimited of Arkansas. Charles was the former owner of Dudley's Bait Shop. He was known to many in the East End Community as the "Tomato Man," but lovingly called "Mr. Charlie" by several generations.
Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Ruthie Dudley of East End; children, Cindy Biram (Dean) of East End, Teresa Leslie (Terry) of Benton; grandson, David Sawatski of Scottsdale, AZ; brothers, Robert Dudley of North Little Rock, Garland Dudley (Blanche) of St. Louis, MO, Owen Dudley (Margie) of North Little Rock; and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Betty Walker Dudley, two brothers, James Allen Dudley and Cletis Dudley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 19th at East End Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Kite officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Fakes Chapel Cemetery in McCrory, AR. Visitation will be on February 18th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home.
