Charles Cogar, 59, of Ward, Arkansas, died Friday, January 07, 2011. He was a member of Church Alive co-founded by his son, Pastor Chuck Cogar, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Louise Cogar; two sons, Roy Lee Cogar and wife Susan Hoang/Cogar and Charles Melvin Cogar and wife Angela; two daughters, Cindy Lynn Cogar and Tammy Louise De'Planche and husband Byron; grandchildren, Tony Hoang, Kenny Hoang, Mikey Hoang, Matthew Lee Cogar, Jamie Lynn Cogar and husband Mitch VanSpyker, Tiffany Lynn Cogar, Jordan Lee Cogar, Jessica Lynn Simpson, Brittany Lynn Simpson, Shannon Paul Scholten, Moriah Louise De'Planche and Brandon Mark Edward De'Planche; one great-grandchild, Aiden VanSpyker; his mother, June Green; brothers Donald, Keith, Larry and Terry; and sisters, Diane, Sharon and Libby.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 10, 2011 at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Velma Cogar at 76 Gray Rd., Ward, AR 72176.
