Chuck Weldon Wisdom, Jr

Charles Weldon Wisdom, Jr., age 55, passed away unexpectedly on March 10th, 2025. Chucky was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 27th, 1970, and soon moved back to his parents’ hometown of Beebe, Arkansas. Chucky was a beloved son, husband, father, Pops, veteran, teacher, friend, and some would even say legend. He was a man of many, many hobbies that included bass fishing, going to the lake, team roping, smoking meat, going to deer camp, shooting guns, Arkansas Razorback sporting events, and spending time with friends and family in his shop.

He would follow his personal hero, Chief Master Sergeant Wisdom, Sr.’s, footsteps by joining the Arkansas Air National Guard in 1988 where he would serve for 35 years. His time in service would take him around the world, including one tour in Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom in 2009. He would also prove instrumental in standing up the 189th AW Rapid Augmentation (RAT) Team that would see him provide support for crisis in Arkansas. Despite long odds, he would overcome “Terminal Tech TED” status to retire as 2nd generation Chief Master Sergeant Wisdom. But regardless of all his military decorations and personal accolades, his favorite accomplishment was being the best equipment operator and patriotically serving beside his brothers and sisters in the “Best Dang Aerial Port Flight in the Entire World.”

When he was not serving our country, you could find him at Arkansas State University Beebe as the Assistant Professor of Agriculture. Chucky taught hundreds of students since 1995 and was known to have a lifelong impact on them all. He managed the ASU Beebe farm and used those facilities to teach his classes as well as hold Ag Club meetings and events as the advisor. He would move on to become an integral part of hosting the Sunshine Rodeo with his Ag Club members and friends by his side. Most importantly, Chucky was a family man. He adored his wife, two children, grandson, daughter-in-law, and soon to be son-in-law. No matter what, there was never a time that he would leave them out of any conversation. Out of all he accomplished through his life, he was the proudest of them.

Chucky was a true pillar in the Beebe community, making a lasting impression on anything and everything he was involved in.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray and Christine Wisdom of Antioch, and his maternal grandparents, Carl and Gereldine Willis of Little Rock.

Chucky is survived by his parents, Chuck Sr. and Gerre Wisdom; his wife, Karen Wisdom; his son and daughter-in-law, Gus and Calah Wisdom; his grandson, Atticus Wisdom; his daughter, Callie Wisdom, and her fiancé, Dalton Creed, all of Antioch; his sister and brother-in-law, Christi and Donny DeLine, and niece and nephew, Larkin and Peyton DeLine, of Charleston, Missouri; along with a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues, and students.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Sunshine Rodeo at Centennial Bank locations.
