Charles Bobbitt

Charles Leo Bobbitt, born August 21, 1937; passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 in his bedroom in the home he built.  He was 81 and suffered bad health a number of years.

Leo enjoyed a full retirement after working over 35 years for Missouri/Union Pacific Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Louie and Lula Mildred (Holladay) Bobbitt.  Leo is survived by his wife, Barbara Venell (Smith) Bobbitt; son, Charles Eric; beloved cat, Pretty Baby; god sons, Joshua Padilla and Corvale Lowery; and a host of family and friends.

During his life, he served in the Arkansas National Guard, was a member of the Jaycees, co-founder of the Gravel Ridge cemetery and volunteer fire dept., serving once as fire chief.  Leo also served a term as president of the Hoedowners Square Dance Club and was a very active member of the Sylvan Hills band boosters.  He loved playing golf and gardening.

The family would like to thank Saundra Basinger of Home Instead for her loving care and compassion toward Leo.

There are currently no funeral or memorial services planned.  Donations may be made in his name to Sherwood Animal Control, 6500 North Hills Blvd. North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116 would be greatly appreciated.
