Charles Forrest Bass

Charles Forrest Bass of Beebe, peacefully passed from this life May 22, 2023, at the age of 90 years old surrounded by his loving family.  He was born at Butlerville, Arkansas on the farm on September 20, 1932. 

He leaves behind a loving wife of seventy-three years, Pauline Bass and three children; son, C. L. Bass of Butlerville; two daughters, Dianne Schlenker of Beebe and Shirley (James) Barnes of Beebe; seven grandchildren, Kristel (Craig) Duncan of Cabot, Jason (Katie) Bass of Forrest City, Courtney (Todd) Burnside of Beebe, Nikki (Jeremy) Ball of Wynne, Emily (Seth) Chappell of DesArc, Jordon Bass of Bald Knob, and Jacob Schlenker of Beebe; he was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Carroll (Carolyn) Bass; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Charles worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad, Coca-Cola Company and Gurdon Mobile Home Factory.  He retired and came home to do what he loved most – farming, coon hunting and working and taking care of his horses.  He loved bluegrass and country music, and he played several musical instruments.  Music was a great joy for him.

Visitation is Friday, May 26, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. with funeral services to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 404 W DeWitt Henry, Beebe, Arkansas 72012.  Burial at Butlerville Cemetery.
