Charles Steven Ashcraft, age 70, of Beebe went to be with The Lord August 22, 2015.

Charles was born Arthur Ray Rich. He was adopted and renamed by his loving parents, Joe and Madelyn (Dye) Ashcraft. Charles was raised as an only child and enjoyed the tender loving care of his parents. He was a United States Army Veteran. Charles enjoyed duck hunting, golfing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He loved the Lord and devoted himself to the reading and studying of God's word, the Bible. Charles was described as a Good-hearted man, who would gladly give you the shirt off his back.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel Spears Bennett Ashcraft; two sons, Ryan Ashcraft of Camden and Joel Ashcraft of Florida and many wonderful friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to The Gideon's, 66 Mohawk Drive, Searcy, AR 72143.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2015, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home.
