Wayne loved running and finished many marathons all over the U.S. He especially loved running with the Little Rock chapter of the Hash House Harriers. He enjoyed his church, the First United Methodist church of Benton where he not only taught Sunday school classes but also grew spiritually and closer to his Lord and savior. One of his favorite verses that he reminded his family of often was from 1 Corinthians 13 “Love is patient, love is kind….. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.” Wayne was a devout Republican and loved his country and it’s history. He took pride in his family and always made sure everyone was taken care of and reached their potential. Wayne and his wife Terra loved to travel. They took many trips to places including England, Germany, France, Austria and various destinations all over the United States. Wayne loved Elvis, the Hallmark channel, Fox Business News, SEC football and a good glass of wine.

He was especially close to his uncle, Carroll Cash and his family. Wayne was loved by a host of other friends and family who he loved and adored.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, so that all friends and family may gather and take time to remember his life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Benton First United Methodist Church, to the Republican party of Saline County or the Pike Kappa Alfa Fraternity at Sam Houston State.
