Charles Burks

Charles A. Burks, 92, of Little Rock passed from this life on November 2, 2020. He was born February 6, 1928 in Jamestown, Arkansas to the late Marshall and Ura McCulloh Burks. Mr. Burks was a devoted member of Windsong Church of Christ in North Little Rock. He spent his career working in various aspects of the Education System. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Jo Ann Cargill Burks, and several siblings. Charles was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know him.

Survivors include his sons, Charles C. Burks (Ken Lowstetter) of California, Barry B. Burks (Doris) of Little Rock, grandchildren, Kristan Wells (Alan) of Little Rock, Lindsey (Clint) Cook of Otto, great-grandchildren, Hunter Wells, Connor Cook and Heston Wells. Other survivors include siblings, Ura Fae Kramer of Batesville, and Arvil Burks of Conway, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Batesville. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home . Memorials in Charles’ memory may be made to Windsong Church of Christ , 3 Windsong Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72113.
