Born December 7, 1929 she went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2016.
Survived by her two children, step-daughter, and their loving families. Daughter Deanine Rogers with husband Don and their children: Matthew, Elizabeth, Rebekah, and Lyric. Along with Matthew's wife Tanya and their kids, Charlene's great-grandchildren, Hannah and Gabriel. Son Travis Peninger with wife Cheri and their kids Jeff and Elizabeth. Step-daughter Jamie Harris and her sons Chris and Bobby plus Bobby's children Wyatt and Abby.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Betty Mayhew and her grandson Michael Peninger.
Charlene was a long time employee of AT&T prior to retiring in 1984. She loved her Church at Westover Hills Presbyterian and her friends. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at her grandchildren's school library and the American Cancer Society. She was simply "Grandma" to so many who entered her life.
