Charlene Carter

   Charlene Gayler Carter, 91, of Little Rock, passed away August 1, 2022. She
was born in Floyd on August 4, 1930, to parents Bema Price and O.T. Gayler. She
was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Ola; her sister, Christine and her
husband of 72 years, Wesley H. Carter.

   Survivors include children, Kathy Gortney and Ken Carter (Jane) of Little
Rock; grandchildren, Jim Griffin, Christy Kresse (John), Nolan Carter (Liz), Brad
Carter and Lauren Carter (Zach); eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-
grandchildren.

   She was employed as a nurse at Timex Corporation for over 30 years. The
family wishes to thank Martha and John White for their loving care in Charlene’s
later years. There will be a private graveside service for the family at the Floyd
Community Cemetery.
