Cecil Calhoun Lacy, Jr., 91, of Little Rock, passed away July 4, 2014. Born in Casa, Arkansas to Cecil and Nell Barrett Lacy, he retired from the U.S. Army where, during World War II he was part of the Pacific Assault Force on the Aleutian Islands. He also served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lacy was a member of the Little Rock Community Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters, he is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Montgomery Lacy; sons, James A. Lacy and wife, Norma of St. George, Utah and Terry D. Lacy of Holden, Maine; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Wednesday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Johnny Glaze, followed by interment with Military Honors at 1:30 p.m. at Bryant's Cove Cemetery at Casa.
