Caudie Mann

Caudie Lee Burke Mann went to be with her Savior on Saturday, May 24, 2008. She was born November 14, 1911, to Willie H. and Winnie Burke in Emmett, Arkansas. Her daughter, Shelia McCallum, son-in-law, Billy Jones McCallum, 8 Nephews, 7 nieces, their families, and many friends, survived her.

Her husband of 53 years, Marvin F. Mann, brothers, Irvin, Jewel, and Henry; sisters, Gladys and Artie preceded her in death.

Caudie and Marvin owned Mann's Fabric Center and Photo Studio in Arkadelphia for many years. Marvin was the photographer and Caudie sold fabric. She made Arkadelphia her home for 62 years after which she made her home first on the Good Samaritan Campus in Hot Springs Village in Greenwood Manor then at Country Club Village in Hot Springs.

Her church home was the United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia where she was actively involved and held various offices in the United Methodist Women's organization, including the Ruth Circle and was an active member in Annie Maude Evans Sunday School Class.

She was past President and Pink Lady in the Hospital Auxiliary organization, and an American Red Cross Volunteer. She wore her 5500 Volunteer Hours pen with great pride. While with the Auxiliary, she enjoyed her time spent working in the gift shop at Baptist Medical Hospital in Arkadelphia. She especially enjoyed maintaining the candy inventory in the gift shop and working in the MRI department in the hospital.

She loved to bass fish with husband, Marvin, until she started catching bigger fish than he did, then she stopped being invited to go along.

Her Service will be at the United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia, Tuesday, May 27, at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Hope Arkansas. Her Service will be conducted by the Pastor Carroll Jackson, Sr. Pastor, United Methodist Church, Arkadelphia, and the Eulogy will be given by Pastor Mike Morey, Sr. Pastor, Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, Hot Springs Village.
