Catherine Houser
Catherine Viola Houser (our dearly loved Mom, MeMe, Sis and Aunt Vi), 88, passed away on February 11, 2016. She is now with her heavenly Father and free of diabetes, cancer and complications from previous strokes. Always the pillar of strength, she never complained of any pain she endured throughout her life. She was one of the kindest and sweetest people on this earth, always putting others before herself. She had the true heart of a servant. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws: Brenda Weaver (her excellent caregiver) and her husband Chuck of Wooster, AR and Belinda McDougald and her husband David of North Little Rock, AR; four grandchildren: Ashley Cross of Wooster, AR , Clay Weaver and Katie Yandell of Mayflower, AR, Allyson Penrod and her husband Jonathan and Logan McDougald of North Little Rock, AR; five great-grandchildren: Hailey Daniel of Little Rock, AR, Jon Michael and Macy Cross of Wooster, AR; Lucas and Maddox Penrod of North Little Rock, AR; three brothers: Aubrey Hutchins (Carolyn) of Cabot, AR, Vernon Hutchins (Patsy) of Nashville, AR and Clark Hutchins (Geraldine) of Bee Branch, AR and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John T. Houser; her parents: Mitchell and Ida Jane Hutchins; and four brothers: Wesley, Troy, Royce and Dale Hutchins.
The family would like to thank Valda Comfort for her love, care and support to her Aunt Vi. Brenda and Valda were awesome caregivers to Mom. We would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their care during her final days.
Visitation will be held at Huson Funeral Home 7700 Highway 107, Sherwood, AR on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 10:00 am with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 am with Brother Sean Ashberry officiating. Pallbearers are Phil Hutchins, Lorraine Hutchins, Toby Hutchins, Wayne Hutchins, Chuck Weaver and David McDougald.
