Carthal Ray Harvey

Carthal Ray Harvey, age 83, of Amity, died Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home. He was born on October 20, 1928 at Amity, the son of Jack Harvey and Mary Inez Tucker Harvey. On November 15, 1945, he was married to Linda Barrett. He retired from Lane Plywood in Eugene, Oregon and was a member of the Oregon Old Time Fiddlers. Survivors include his wife, Linda Harvey of Amity; three children and their spouses, Jack and Sandra Harvey of Mobile, Alabama, Mary and Gene Anderson of Condon, Oregon and John Harvey of Pendleton, Oregon; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Fagan officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Woodall Valley Cemetery. There will be no services conducted at the cemetery due to inclement weather. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Boyd Cox, Floyd Cox, Roger Prince, Chad Prince, F. L. "Bud" Barrett and Robert Barrett. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
