Carroll Thompson

Carroll J. (C.J.) Thompson, loving husband and father, age 74, of Cabot died at his home Saturday October 24, 2009. He was born May 18, 1935 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to James Perry and Ona Golden Spencer Thompson. He retired from the teamsters in 1991 after 31 years of service. He was a republican and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Cabot. His church family was very supportive and an active part of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patsy Brown Thompson; two daughters, Angela and husband Mark Petty of Covington, Tennessee, Cindy and husband Jimmy Boggs of Austin, Arkansas; two sons, Blake and wife Jenny Thompson of Bartlett, Tennessee, Kenny Thompson of Braden, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, David and Colt Parsons, Devin Thompson, Kristen Nickell, Seth Thompson, Beth Brooks, James and Jesse Boggs, Garrett and Ethan Petty; four great-grandchildren, Brady and Cody Brooks, Landon Parsons and Connor Nickell; two sisters, Geneva Bates of Pocahontas, Arkansas, JoAnn and husband Lester Ross of Knoxville, Tennessee; a brother, LeRoy and wife Betty Fern Thompson of Mohomel, Illinois; two sister-n-laws Christene of Sevierville, Tennessee and Nell Thompson of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.

C.J. was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ray Thompson of Pocahontas and Billy Bob Thompson of Sevierville, Tennessee.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday October 26, 2009 at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Cabot with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
